My painting career began in 1970. After getting a degree in Fine Art, learning from others and working on my own, painting became a friend and companion. In fact enjoying most forms of creativity holds my interest. However my most rewarding undertaking is the spiritual component in my paintings – it is here I find fulfillment.
Teaching art is another fulfilling component. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing someone become alive when they see what they can do. From this a relationship is formed, confidence develops and creativity is nurtured. No work of art is bad or good, one either likes it or not – it is of no consequence. Added to repertoire of interests is writing. The spiritual component that emerges in my paintings is companioned with writing so I have started a blog. Essentially, though, only the love for being creative counts. That is how artists are born!
